Our monthly tutored tasting in October will explore the increasingly popular Orange wines, also know as skin contact wines. This ancient process of winemaking includes the white grape skins during fermentation, similar to how red wines are made. The resulting wines have unique orange orange or amber hue, as well as a distinctive flavour profile and texture.
We’ll also look at natural wines - winemaking with minimal intervention in the vineyard and the cellar. Many of these wines are farmed are organically and biodynamically. The latter is a philosophy that views the vineyard as a living ecosystem, emphasising biodiversity and using the lunar cycles to cultivate the vines.
There will be 12 different wines to taste. You are welcome to book a table in the restaurant for dinner after the tasting ends.
