Puro is inspired by a wine born in the late 19th century, a creation of Jorge Rosas’ great-grandfather Antonio and his younger brother. In contrast to the norm at the time, they created a high quality non-fortified wine in the Douro Valley, an innovation in the land of Port. A signature wine from Quinta da Touriga-Chã , in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Douro Superior (DOC Douro). A meticulously crafted wine, with carefully selected grapes and precise aging in stainless steel and barrels to preserve its elegance and character.
Intense nose of black plums and blackberries. Also has notes of spice and violets. Fruity, balanced and smooth, despite the intense and firm tannins. Good acidity. Excellent balance between wood and wine, it does provide a good bottle aging.
